Freewriting

Tuesday I had a horrible nigntmare. In the dream, I was climbing upstairs from Minder. However, when I walked to the 木棧道, a terrible scene shows. There were lots of bodies on the ground, and I had no choice but run off the path. The horrible scene really scared me so I escape from the site very fast. It really took my breath away. However, this was not over. After I ran down to the last step of the stairs, I accidentally step on something. It was soft and had a shape like… a body! I screamed and dashed down along the road as fast as I can, for fear that thing will chase me or something. To my astonishment, suddenly I found out that my legs were so sour. I can’t move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How a terrible nightmare, even now I think about the detail in the dream I still think it’s so true. Because of that day I had a nightmare, till now when I wake up in the morning and prepare to climb the木棧道, I will imagine the spaces between the stairs will appear a body’s hand, and wonder whether it will grab me down to stay with them. What a terrible dream!

Music and Lyrics-way back into love

I've been living with a shadow overhead
我活在陰影之下
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
烏雲伴我共枕
I've been lonely for so long
一直孤單好久
Traped in the past, I just can't seem to move on
困在過去,似乎就是無法往前走

I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
我把所有的希望和夢想藏起來
Just in case I ever need them again someday
只為了有一天可能又需要他們
I've been setting aside time
我總留點時間
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind
淨化心裡的小角落

All I want to do is find a way back into love
我只要重新找到愛的感覺
I can't make it through without a way back into love
若沒有愛的感覺我辦不到
Oh oh oh

I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
我留心觀察然而繁星不願發亮
I've been searching but I just don't see the signs
我一直搜尋但看不到任何徵兆
I know that it's out there
我知道它不在那裡
There is got to be something for my soul somewhere
但一定有個為我靈魂而生的東西在某處

I've been looking for someone to shed some light
我一直尋找著讓我發光的人
Not just somebody just to get me throught the night
而非只是個陪我過夜的傢伙
I could use some direction
我能使用一些指示
And I am open to your suggestions
而且我可能是你的暗示

All I want to do is find a way back into love
我只要重新找到愛的感覺
I can't make it through without a way back into love
若沒有愛的感覺我辦不到
And if I open my heart again
若我再次敝開心房
I guess I am hoping you will be there for me in the end
我想我希望最後你會在那裡等我

There are monents when I don't know if it is real
有時候我不確定它是不是真的
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
或許有人和我心有戚焉
I need inspiration
我需要妙計
Not just another negotiation
而非又一個妥協

All I want to do is find a way back into love
我只要重新找到愛的感覺
I can't make it through without a way back into love
若沒有愛的感覺我辦不到
And if I open my heart to you
若我為你打開心房
I am hoping you will show me what to do
希望你會告訴我該怎麼做
And if you help me to start again
若你幫我重新開始
You know that I will be there for you in the end
你知道最後我會在那裡等你

Today is a very important day to me~

Though I still don't know how to do my best~

Maybe......just act normal~

Posted for memorizing~

Fortunately, the tiring Nobel report has finally done and finished. Though it started as a boring
and we were all reluctant to do it, it at the end turned out to be a lovely job and full of fun. Before
we stand on the stage, we had tried hard to search datas and figures and papers, later
we worked hard organizing the PPT. We even had ten rehearsals before giving the presentation.
Now that we have finished the speach and got a well-done smile from our biology teacher and
teacher assistant, and today our paper report is done~~~Thanks for God~Thanks for my dear
teammate and everyone who gave us advice and wishes!!!
Thank you all~

Kenya

Kenya Under Canvas
Monica Andersson , Marcus Orton
Monica Andersson and Marcus Orton spent 6 months backpacking and camping through Africa, before arriving in Kenya. They had saved the best till last, and for a month they travelled through the country with their trusty tent…
Some people take their travel very seriously. Meet Monica Andersson from Sweden and Marcus Orton from England. When they wanted to see Africa, they packed up their backpacks, a tent and plans to see as much of the continent as they could. They decided to start in South Africa and work their way North.Six months later, after traveling extensively through Southern Africa, they arrived in Kenya. They planned to end their trip with 6 weeks or more in Kenya, and with plenty of African experience behind them, set out to explore the country. As they had made their way north through the continent, they had heard plenty of good things about Kenya. They met plenty of travellers heading south, who had enthused about the wonders of Lamu- “Lots of people raved about the coast in general”- and camping in the Maasai Mara.Monica and Martin traveled under a pretty serious budget, and camped wherever they could. So they were pleased to find an excellent campsite located just outside of Nairobi city centre.Even Nairobi itself was a surprise. Marcus explains “I liked Nairobi much more than I expected to. It feels more relaxed and definitely more safe than a city like Johannesburg”Using buses and matatus, Marcus and Monica headed for the coast. They set up camp by beautiful Tiwi beach, a low key tropical haven popular with young travellers. “It was really nice…it had a great atmosphere…totally laid back” Monica says

of Tiwi, where it is possible to camp by the sand with a n uninterrupted view of the wide blue Indian Ocean. There are plenty of small villages around Tiwi, meaning an abundant supply of fresh fish and fruit for campers. After four days in paradise, Monica and Marcus returned to Nairobi by bus, and planned to explore some of Kenya’s best known National Parks. They booked with a specialist camping safari company that organized their transport and food arrangements in two separate parks over five days. They started off in Maasai Mara, a place that Monica describes as “the best Park we visited in Africa” The sheer volume of game exceeded anything they had seen before. Marcus says “The country was more open, the huge savannah plains made the views much more clearer. Also, the Parks in Kenya feel much more wilder than Parks in South Africa. The Parks down there are much more regimented, they feel like zoos at times…here was just much more…wild”.The Mara under canvas is a real experience. This is not your average camping trip. The proximity of big game makes for interesting nights. Hyenas whoop from the darkness, baboons bark in the trees overhead, and with the dawn comes the territorial call of a lion, a deep resounding roar that is one of the quintessential sounds of Africa.Next stop was Lake Nakuru, where they camped within the park, and spent their days exploring the shores lined with a carpet of pink flamingo. In the forests and plains around the lake, there was more to see. “This was the first time we had seen a rhino so close….it was just a few feet away…suddenly you realize how massive they really are” Both Marcus and Monica are keen trekkers, and knew that Kenya offered one of Africa’s best treks, the challenge of Mt Kenya. Starting off from the small town of Nanyuki, strapped on their packs and set off for the mountain. Their 5 day trek took them from forest trails into the rare air and alpine vegetation of the upper slopes. As they neared the snowline at Point Lenana, the weather took a turn for the worse. Monica advises other trekkers to “be ready to be wet and cold…choose your season carefully…avoid the heavy rain”“The visibility was really low, we couldn’t see much beyond the trail” Marcus explains “When we reached Lenana, we just set up camp…but the next morning, we got up at dawn and the clouds had cleared…the view was incredible”.After their trek, they spent a few days resting by the shores of Lake Naivasha, camped on a grassy lawn overlooking the lake. Each night hippos emerged from the lake to graze.Marcus and Monica found that Kenya was an ideal country for backpacking. There was always somewhere to pitch a tent, and public transport was widely available.“I recommend taking your time”Marcus says “Kenya has so many options and opportunities…meet some other travellers and ask what they’ve done and seen… take your time and take a look around”With another three weeks left in Kenya, Monica and Marcus are planning to head back to the coast and visit Watamu and then the island of Lamu.As they head off to catch a bus, they recommend public transport as a good way of getting to know everyday life in Kenya. “Every now and then some of the matatu guys may try to overcharge you when they see you are a tourist, but the local people will always tell you the correct price and make sure you pay the same as everyone else..”

Kenya seems to be a good place to visit......Hope one day I can visit the amazing and enjoy the wildlife there.

Comparison of AD

(A) (B)

http://usera.imagecave.com/2046yum/Mr.Donut-1.jpg
http://www.gpmlaw.com/gpmwww/images_photos/DunkinGraphic.jpg

The war of donut between Japan and America is starting. Lately, donut chain stores appeared in many cities, and eating donuts soon became a smash hit. Mister Donut and Dunkin donut, which are the two famous brands within donut world, start a competition. Mister donut, which has a rave review, makes all the people crazy, Dunkin donut, which American swear by, is all the rage, too. In order to win the war, they made great advertisements to publicize their products.

Compare between the ads above. Take a glance of the first advertisement(A), your notice will no doubt be caught by the cute and lovely Pon De Lion, standing on a flourishing hill with a great sunny day background. In the middle stands the lion, which is bright yellow, show vigor; his tail is like a blooming flower, and the mane are replaced by the best-selling donut──pon de!! This AD uses all bright colors, making the whole picture a vigorous, happy and positive image.

Take a look of the other advertisement(B). Differently, there isn’t any cute doll in the picture; instead, the ad is composed of five identical pieces of comic, in each comic are four pictures, the first one is the map of the U.S, where Dunkin Donut comes from; the second one is a person running; the third is’’on’’, and the last one is DD, which is the abbreviate of ’’Dunkin Donut’’. There aren’t many kinds of color in this ad. However, it is simple and easy to understand.

Look at the first ad(A). The mane of the lion is bit, and on the corner of his mouth some crumbs are found, telling us that he can’t help eating his own mane because of the delicious taste, suggesting how good the donut’s flavor is. The other ad (B) is far more simpler──America runs on Dunkin, showing how important Dunkin donut is in Americans’ life.

These two advertisements seems to be quite different. However, no matter what ways the ads present, their goals are just the same──to catch your attention!

http://usera.imagecave.com/2046yum/Mr.Donut-1.jpg

You can’t deny that this picture catches all the readers’ eyes and attracts them to stop and steps in to Mister Donut to buy some yummy donuts, no matter whether you are in the bus station, MRT station, on the sidewalk, or even reading this AD description! Take a glance of this advertisement, your notice will no doubt be caught by the cute and lovely Pon De Lion, standing on a flourishing hill with a great sunny day background. In the middle stands the lion, which is bright yellow, show vigor; his tail is like a blooming flower, and all of us will focus our eye sight on the mane, replaced by the best-selling donut──pon de!!
The best design which is appealing to the readers is the action of the Pon De Lion. We can see that the mane of the lion is bit, and on the corner of his mouth some crumbs are found, telling us that he can’t help eating his own mane because of the delicious taste, suggesting how good the donut’s flavor is.
This AD uses all bright colors, making the whole picture a vigorous, happy and positive image, thus successfully capture our attention and being eager to have the yummy donuts a bite, too!

My introduction(before revise)

I am Sally*Hsieh. I was born on 12/20. There are five members in my family, including my mom, dad, two older brothers and me. Living in Taipei all my life, my school life is plain as well. Since I entered Taipei Wego kindergarden, I had studied in Wego until I go to CGU. It’s not denying that I was half scared and half looking forward to opening a new page in my life and after getting along with classmates in the last semester, I find out how kind they are and now I enjoy my school life, though there are endless projects waiting still.

By the way, when I have some days off, I enjoy reading novels, fantasy especially. I love fantasy so much that I buy English version lest I can read the latest one. I also go bike-riding, mountain-climbing, go shopping with roommates in my free time; oh, I even know how to ride a horse!

In CGU, I join several clubs. One of them is tennis club and the other is serving &working team. I joined the winder vacation practice of tennis and it made me exhausted. About the team, we spent almost a week in Fu-Shin village in the mountain where most of the people there are aborigines. We went there, spent time with them, trying to give them our hands, however, I usually think that , at the end, it is us who gain some thing.

Time is almost up and I know you still learn little about me. I will try to do better next article.
